About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and manage a pipeline of digital infrastructure and data center-oriented power opportunities, including powered land, greenfield sites, and standalone power projects
- Source opportunities directly through greenfield development, JV-style partnerships, project acquisitions, and M&A-adjacent opportunities
- Shortlist and approach land parcels and customers in gas-connected, permissive markets, prioritizing ERCOT and the Southeast, with the Mid-South and West as secondary priority regions
- Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities involving power availability, land, interconnection, development status, and data center demand
- Own utility relationships and load interconnection with transmission utilities and RTOs including ERCOT, PJM, and WECC
- Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, power and infrastructure companies, real estate and land counterparties, and other partners
- Evaluate prospective opportunities with Vistra and other partners and help determine whether to fund, acquire, partner, develop internally, or deprioritize them
- Support due diligence on data center and power projects, including site control, interconnection agreements, environmental assessments, title, and land parcel-level diligence
- Support structuring the powered land plus offering, including load enablement, fiber pathways, water, permitting/community relations, and sustainability services
- Support early commercial structuring involving term sheets, MIPAs, ROFRs, and JV arrangements
- Operate effectively in a lean, growth-stage environment with hands-on execution
- Represent Helix in confidential, market-facing conversations

- Demonstrated ability to source opportunities directly through relationship-building, market outreach, partner conversations, and creative deal identification
- Existing, active relationships with land aggregators/brokers, power developers, and digital infrastructure developers, ideally with a presence in ERCOT and/or Southeast markets
- Experience evaluating early-stage partnerships, JVs, or M&A-adjacent opportunities, and leading due diligence through to close

- Strong communication skills and maturity to represent a confidential platform externally
