Key responsibilities & impact- Procure goods and services for indirect categories by issuing and managing purchase orders
- Follow global sourcing and procurement policies and category management sourcing strategies
- Manage purchase orders until goods are received or services are confirmed
- Follow up payments to suppliers and resolve Procure-to-Pay issues end to end
- Ensure suppliers deliver goods and services on time and to required quality
- Collaborate with regional sourcing and procurement teams and managers
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communications for new purchase orders and change orders
- Proactively manage open order reports, budgets, delivery dates, prices, and quantities
- Perform purchasing activities and maintain purchase order status, records, documentation, and cost-reduction data
- Support stakeholders in ensuring supply meets requirements and delivers best possible value
- Track supplier order status through delivery and purchase order closure
- Escalate and resolve issues with internal stakeholders
- Perform vendor maintenance as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of tasks
- Very strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to build credibility with stakeholders and influence change
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers
- Supplier contracting experience
- Knowledge of key contract sections, common redline areas, and reasonable fallback positions
- Ability to guide stakeholders on statement of work developments
- Basic understanding of financial cost structures associated with a supply chain
- Understanding of accounts payable processes and invoice processing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Experience placing purchase orders in SAP and Oracle
- English proficiency
- Spanish language proficiency
