About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead safety, security, compliance, and asset protection programs across a high-volume returns operation
- Conduct and oversee investigations related to theft, inventory loss, workplace incidents, and policy violations
- Partner with operations leaders to identify risks, implement solutions, and build a culture of safety and accountability
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company standards through audits, inspections, and corrective actions
- Support emergency response, crisis management, and business continuity efforts
- Drive continuous improvement across the facility
- Lead efforts to protect people, assets, and operations in Walmart's Return Center network
- Support product returns, value recovery, and sustainability operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years' experience in Retail, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environment
- Option 1: Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Safety Management, Audit, or related field, and 1 year's experience in Asset Protection, Audit, Investigations, or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, or related field
- Option 2: 3 years' experience in Asset Protection, Audit, Investigations, Safety, or Environmental, Health and Safety within Supply Chain, Retail, Manufacturing, or related field
- Experience leading teams within a distribution center, fulfillment center, warehouse, retail, or other large-scale operational environment
- Background in asset protection, safety, security, compliance, investigations, or risk management
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements, workplace safety programs, and incident investigation processes
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners, drive accountability, and lead change in a fast-paced operation
- Experience using data and operational metrics to identify trends, solve problems, and improve business performance
- Preferred: 1 or More Certifications such as Loss Prevention Certification (LPC), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Associate Safety Professional, Certified Safety Professional, Certified Safety Manager, or related; Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint and OneDrive
