About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist assigned internal partners with targeted communications to internal and external audiences
- Assist with external company message positioning, branding, delivery and timing recommendations
- Assist company personnel in preparing public speeches, letters and articles
- Execute internal communications tactics supporting employee engagement campaigns
- Respond to field communicators with strategy implementation, tools and messaging
- Coordinate and assist with planning large company events
- Create and support internal communications for weather-related disaster or crisis preparedness and aftermath
- Monitor, compile and distribute company and industry daily news via intranet
- Organize and monitor media from all outlets
- Cultivate relationships with internal business and department heads
- Assist with development and management of external vendor relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Communication, Journalism or Public Relations, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience
- 2 years previous experience in a communications department or agency (in addition to education requirement)
- Canva / Adobe Suite experience (preferred)
- StaffBase or SharePoint software experience (preferred)
- Analytics experience (preferred)
- Design skills (preferred)
