Key responsibilities & impact- Take responsibility for a defined portfolio of workstreams within a large-scale transformation program
- Work closely with program leadership, business functions, and IT
- Plan and manage workstreams and define work packages
- Monitor progress, timelines, risks, resources, and dependencies
- Bring together perspectives from IT, research and development, and production
- Develop sustainable solutions with relevant stakeholders
- Prepare status reports, recommendations, and decision-making materials for program leadership and top management
- Structure complex issues and facilitate workshops
- Develop concrete solutions and transformation initiatives together with the client
- Take responsibility for the workstream team and support its professional development
- Ensure the quality of deliverables
- Further develop the consulting portfolio and support proposals, tenders, project acquisition, and recruiting interviews
- Help shape the growth of the Automotive Practice
- Contribute expertise in R&D transformation, product data management, Software Defined Vehicle, and the automotive value chain
- As a Manager, independently take responsibility for more complex workstreams, lead teams, and advance client relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed university degree, ideally at Master’s level, in Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable field
- Project experience in the automotive industry and a sound understanding of the automotive value chain
- Experience in complex digitalization and transformation programs
- Understanding of IT architectures, Enterprise Architecture, or Systems Engineering
- Business-fluent German and English skills at C1 level or higher
- Willingness to travel one to three days per week within the DACH region
- Several years of relevant full-time experience in management or strategy consulting for the Associate Manager role
- Bachelor’s degree: ideally 4–5 years of experience for the Associate Manager role
- Master’s degree: ideally 3–4 years of experience for the Associate Manager role
- Willingness to lead workstreams or initial experience doing so
- Initial experience in functional leadership is an advantage for the Associate Manager role
- Initial exposure to proposal processes or project acquisition is welcome but not required
- Ideally 5–8 years of relevant full-time experience in management or strategy consulting for the Manager role
- Experience independently managing complex transformation projects
- Experience leading teams, ideally including disciplinary responsibility
- Experience with proposal processes, tenders, or project acquisition, ideally combined with an established network in the automotive sector
- PMP certification is desirable and can be obtained after joining
