About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, analyze, and review contracts, legal opinions, and internal policies
- Provide legal advice to the company’s departments across various areas of law
- Support senior management in strategic decision-making based on legal analyses
- Conduct legal research on legal doctrine, case law, and legislation
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization
- Represent the company in judicial and administrative proceedings by drafting pleadings, developing legal strategies, and making oral arguments
- Act in hearings, trials, and mediations
- Advise company representatives, local counsel, and witnesses in hearings
- Resolve disputes and facilitate legal negotiations
- Protect the company’s interests in contentious and out-of-court matters
- Analyze legal risks related to operations and projects
- Manage litigation and advisory matters, defining appropriate legal strategies
- Calculate provisions and loss probabilities for proceedings for accounting contingency purposes
- Prepare reports and provide legal information for internal and external audits
- Monitor and manage procedural deadlines, ensuring the timely completion of required actions and procedural acts
- Manage freezes and security interests related to proceedings under responsibility
- Interact with regulatory bodies, public entities, and external attorneys
- Participate in meetings with internal and external clients, providing technical guidance
- Collaborate with internal departments in developing legal policies and guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Prior experience practicing law at law firms or in corporate legal departments
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) and a valid digital certificate
- Proficiency with electronic litigation systems, such as PJe, Projudi, e-Proc, and e-SAJ
- Solid knowledge of procedural law
- Knowledge of and experience using Legal One legal case management software
- Reside in Brasília, Federal District
- Availability to attend in-person meetings
