Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate with the Network Operations Center and operational staff on break/fix, configuration updates, add/moves/changes, technology upgrades, and network router/switch installations
- Coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions
- Develop technical resolution reports for critical network outages
- Conduct approved network changes, including VLAN, ACL, and port assignments
- Perform IOS upgrades to routers and switches
- Perform routing and switching equipment technology upgrades
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures for network operations
- Resolve network system failures and accessibility problems
- Support site surveys, engineering design data calls, and network implementation projects
- Install and technically refresh networks within sites or locales
- Work independently with minimal or intermittent input in remote locations
- Perform network ticket resolution and support ticket closure
- Provision switches, routers, and cryptographic devices using administrative network access
- Research errors, incidents, and problems; perform incident analysis and identify potential problems
- Route service requests to appropriate organizations
- Perform root cause analyses
- Complete incident-ticket problem resolutions
- Review and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
- IAT II certification (e.g., Security+)
- CCNA
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance OR TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph prior to starting
- 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field substituted for 5 years of experience
- Familiarity with Cisco and Juniper network devices
- Strong working knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, and 802.1x routing protocols
- In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration, fault isolation, and firmware upgrades
- Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Ability to work onsite
- Ability to obtain/maintain required security clearance
