About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage, maintain and supervise day-to-day retail operations at the retail store location
- Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable and hardworking
- Support the Store Manager and team members with feedback, work procedures and policies
- Follow written SOPs as policies and regulations change and ensure team compliance
- Respond to team member questions, suggestions and concerns and help resolve conflicts
- Lead by example in a high-volume retail store
- Implement changes based on customer and team member feedback to improve customer experience
- Track employee and store sales daily
- Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Organize and communicate required reporting, paperwork and state tracking system records
- Assist with inventory, sales and compliance audits
- Perform daily opening and closing procedures
- Ensure the sales floor is adequately stocked
- Coordinate daily, monthly and yearly inventory audits and reconciliations
- Log and dispose of expired, damaged and returned products according to regulations
- Assist with receiving AGCO/wholesale deliveries and verify accuracy against invoices
- Provide daily correspondence via email and manager’s log
- Comply with HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- CannSell license from AGCO
- Clean Criminal Background check
- 4-5+ years of retail management experience in retail
- Possess or ability to obtain Cannabis Retail Manager License from AGCO by providing personal disclosure and details to AGCO within the first month of employment
- A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience managing in a Unionized environment
- Sound knowledge of Cannabis plants and different strains of Cannabis
- Knowledge of standards of Cannabis Retail stores set by AGCO
- Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to retail Cannabis
- Must successfully pass an extensive background check
- Ability to work nights, holidays, weekends and different locations
