About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Source, purchase, plan, and schedule raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related materials
- Identify material requirements from engineering and production specifications and schedules
- Purchase, plan, and coordinate material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences
- Analyze data and pricing factors to determine the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and required schedules
- Review proposals, negotiate prices, and select or recommend suppliers
- Analyze trends and follow up on orders
- Approve payment and maintain records of material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory cycles
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel to ensure appropriate procurement, scheduling, and material and service movement
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma and 10 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience, or Master’s degree and 4 years of experience, or PhD and 2 years of experience
- U.S. Citizenship is not required for this position
- Ability to source, purchase, plan, and schedule materials through production and inventory processes
- Ability to analyze procurement data, prices, proposals, supplier trends, and material requirements
- Ability to negotiate prices and select or recommend suppliers
- Ability to coordinate with production, warehouse, and engineering personnel
- First-shift availability
