About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver service projects effectively across commercial and technical aspects
- Ensure compliance with company protocols, contractual obligations, safety regulations, financial objectives, and scheduling objectives
- Lead service project execution in alignment with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices
- Oversee resource use and project progress
- Manage invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow
- Identify risks and opportunities and document and share lessons learned
- Formally and contractually close out projects and secure customer acknowledgement and acceptance
- Apply contract and claims management principles throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers to secure materials, services, and equipment
- Act as the primary customer interface and manage project-related escalations
- Maintain relationships and communication with internal teams and external partners
- Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy HSE policies
- Evaluate equipment drawings, project schedules, HSE documentation, transmittals, reports, and related technical materials
- Partner with execution teams and manufacturing facilities to support project delivery
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines
- Uphold Hitachi Energy’s safety and integrity values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing service projects
- Experience with transformer service projects highly regarded
- Working knowledge of SAP, including order booking and invoicing
- Strong communication skills
- Ownership mindset
- Demonstrated leadership capability
- Proficiency in English communication
- Willingness to undertake local and occasional overseas travel
- Compliance with applicable employment, background screening, and security-check requirements
