Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare, research, review and submit required regulatory filings for Huntington Bancshares Incorporated and The Huntington National Bank
- Ensure filings comply with Federal Reserve, FFIEC and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency standards and guidance
- Prepare and analyze banking regulatory reports including Call Report, FR Y-9C, FR Y-14Q, FR Y-14A, FFIEC 009, FR Y-15, TIC Reports, FR Y-6, FR Y-10 and FR Y-8
- Create accurate, organized documentation of reported numbers and supporting conclusions
- Analyze results and provide management with insights into trends and fluctuations
- Collaborate across the organization to gather reportable data and provide business requirements to IT and Finance Data Resource Group
- Complete user acceptance testing of resulting data and reporting efforts
- Interact with regulators regarding various reports
- Perform reconciliations to other regulatory and external filings
- Improve reporting data and operational efficiencies while maintaining regulatory compliance
- Maintain procedural documentation and execute appropriate review controls
- Coordinate regulatory reporting issues with Risk Management, Internal Audit and Legal
- Support special regulatory reporting projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics field
- 6 or more years of experience in auditing, regulatory reporting or SEC reporting
- Public accounting and/or external financial reporting experience preferred
- Financial services sector experience preferred
- Control mindset and demonstrated ability for process improvement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong time management skills with a demonstrated ability to self-prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with quality
- Ability to multi-task and self-prioritize tasks to assure each task is completed timely and accurately
- Proven ability to quickly learn and execute new systems and processes
- Proficiency in Excel using advanced functions and complex formulas
- Experience in banking regulations and/or core banking processes considered a plus
- Experience using Axiom, Microsoft Office with Outlook, Wdesk, Wdata, SAS, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, and Essbase knowledge considered a plus
