Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement Software Asset Management strategies within clients’ procurement teams
- Define a roadmap to anticipate renewals and identify savings opportunities
- Oversee the proper use of software to anticipate legal and compliance risks
- Manage declarations, inventories/measurements, and reservations using industry-standard tools
- Manage demand to optimize software usage and changes in volume
- Implement remediation plans where necessary
- Manage vendor license portals
- Coordinate stakeholders to define new requirements and prepare for renewals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Good understanding of distributed technical architectures
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux systems
- Knowledge of databases
- Knowledge of virtualization solutions
- Knowledge of cloud environments
- Experience with an industry-standard SAM tool (Aspera, Snow, Flexera, etc.) is an advantage
- Experience with a discovery/inventory tool (BigFix, SCCM, vROps, Hyper-V, Splunk, etc.) is an advantage
- Ability to research and analyze legal, technical, and financial documentation
