Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop engineering teams, with a focus on high performance and individual growth.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the company’s strategic and operational plans, communicating and connecting technical direction with business strategy.
- Ensure the delivery of technical solutions aligned with business needs, in partnership with Product Managers, Designers, and other leaders.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Foster an environment of collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous feedback.
- Drive the development of technical strategies for the team’s domains, promoting engineering best practices such as Clean Code, TDD, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
- Participate in defining and tracking OKRs and technical metrics, including lead time, stability, and test coverage.
- Encourage Inner Source initiatives, the use of RFCs, and a culture of living documentation.
- Address ambiguous problems and challenging prioritization decisions while balancing deadlines and quality.
- Influence decision-making with the team regarding solution details.
- Ensure product and platform quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
- Define, collect, analyze, and track application and product health metrics.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams based on principles and adopting Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Act as an ambassador for our culture of high collaboration and quality within the team.
- Experience working in environments with robust and scalable architectures.
- Strong knowledge and experience leading teams that adopt architectural patterns and code design practices, as well as consistent, well-documented coding standards.
- Experience with Android/iOS mobile development.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and the HTTP protocol.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Strong knowledge of SOLID principles, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.
- Experience with investigation, troubleshooting, telemetry, monitoring, observability, and debugging of systems in general.
- Experience with software testing, including unit, integration, stress, mutation, and E2E testing.
- Knowledge of databases, relational and non-relational data modeling, caching strategies, and distributed processing.
- Knowledge of DevOps, including CI/CD, automation, and the culture itself.
- Experience with analytics and marketing tools such as Firebase, Google Analytics, and Amplitude.
- Experience managing mobile platforms serving internal developer customers.
- Experience managing teams responsible for experience, customer journey, pricing, or channels.
- Experience managing teams responsible for Design System development.
- Experience managing mobile development teams.
- Experience developing backend applications with Go, Node.js, and C#, or another modern backend language (a plus).
- Experience with financial digital products and/or large-scale applications.
- Experience with mission-critical and highly available applications.
