About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team in the design and management of major structural engineering projects
- Perform structural engineering design for building design and retrofit projects
- Collaborate with design disciplines and work directly with owners, school districts, municipalities, and developers
- Initiate and execute engineering projects for prominent community owners
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate structural engineering project teams
- Oversee project Quality Control/Quality Assurance
- Develop and maintain a stable, motivated, high-performing team
- Mentor team members for professional and personal growth
- Participate in process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's or Master's degree in structural or architectural engineering
- Structural Engineering (SE) license required
- 10 or more years of technical design experience
- Experience using ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RAM, RISA, and other common structural design and analysis tools
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to thrive in highly collaborative environments
- Commitment to work as an integrated design team member
- Must work in a local studio three times per week
