Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable back-end features for LumApps’ MicroApps platform
- Participate in core architectural choices and define long-term, sustainable technical solutions
- Build high-performance cross-functional APIs in collaboration with web and mobile front-end teams
- Contribute to automated testing strategy and participate in code reviews
- Drive continuous process improvements
- Track service health and performance through active monitoring to ensure high availability
- Integrate modern AI developer tools into engineering workflows, including prototyping, refactoring, and documentation
- Structure codebase rules, technical documentation, and context files to maximize AI accuracy across testing, code generation, and API design
- Provide customers and partners with templated, end-to-end solutions for concrete business use cases
- Connect internal platform services with third-party APIs and AI Agents
- Combine MicroApps with Workflows, Forms, Tasks, Shifts, and other platform capabilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong background in back-end architecture, API design, and database management
- Solid experience with automated testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools
- Proficiency in using modern AI coding assistants and LLMs
- Ability to format technical context, construct precise prompts, and manage complex context windows for AI tools
- Critical oversight skills to review, refactor, and secure AI-generated code against security and performance standards
- At least 5–8 years of hands-on experience in backend software engineering
- Fluent in both French and English
- Based in or willing to commute to the Lyon / Tassin-la-Demi-Lune office or Paris office
- Experience with Node.js and Python
- Experience with Fastify and Flask
- Knowledge of microservices and event-driven systems
- Experience with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Experience with Google Pub/Sub
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with GCP and Azure
- Familiarity with GitHub, ArgoCD, and Claude Code
