About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare monthly management accounts for the Group entity
- Support month-end reporting activities
- Post journals including accruals, prepayments, payroll, expenses and depreciation
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Support group consolidations by gathering, validating and reporting financial information
- Prepare cashflow reporting and support treasury and banking activities
- Support statutory accounts preparation, year-end audit requirements and regulatory reporting
- Support financial controls and compliance with accounting policies and reporting standards
- Work alongside the FP&A team to understand and explain financial performance
- Support finance projects, process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the Group Financial Controller with wider group reporting and finance activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be nearing completion
- Experience preparing management accounts
- Strong month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Experience supporting statutory accounts or external audits would be beneficial
- Exposure to treasury, cashflow or banking activities would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of financial controls and accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive and organised approach
- Ability to build positive working relationships across finance and the wider business
- Experience within a multi-entity environment would be advantageous but isn't essential
