Key responsibilities & impact- Support technical planning, development, and integration of digital-twin capabilities
- Lead development, maintenance, and enforcement of documentation standards, style guidelines, and best practices across software and systems engineering programs
- Produce system architecture guides, API documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, operational run books, and customer-facing deliverables
- Manage and publish classified technical documentation in a SCIF environment according to federal security protocols, classification guidelines, and government contract requirements
- Direct documentation lifecycle workflows, including drafting, version control, technical review, stakeholder reconciliation, approvals, and secure publication
- Collaborate with developers, systems/test engineers, program managers, and government stakeholders to translate complex engineering concepts into technical content
- Create executive-level briefings, white papers, technical reports, and strategic communications for internal leadership and government clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of Top-Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI; must maintain the clearance
- Associate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of experience; OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6+ years of experience; OR Doctoral degree in a related field and 3+ years of experience
- An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Proven experience documenting software architectures, system workflows, and APIs within an Agile or software development lifecycle (SDLC) framework
- Hands-on experience using modern documentation platforms, version control systems such as Git, JIRA/Confluence, and SharePoint, and publishing tools such as Dropbox and DOD-Safe
- Ability to establish style guides, enforce documentation standards, and manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with experience tailoring content for developer and executive audiences
- Desired: Experience supporting DoD/federal agency deliverables and working with SATCOM or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts
- Desired: Proficiency in creating diagrams, graphics, and data visualizations for executive presentations
- Desired: Familiarity with federal compliance frameworks, CUI handling rules, and government publication standards
