Key responsibilities & impact- Lead execution of high-visibility programs strengthening P&C culture, workforce capability, and Association priorities
- Partner with cross-functional leaders and teams on professional development, real estate, presidential town halls, employee recognition, and Recycle Rides programs
- Define and maintain program strategies aligned with organizational goals, risk, size, and complexity
- Provide input and recommendations on multi-year business plans and execution approaches
- Facilitate meetings with executive management and project/program sponsors
- Prepare stakeholder and management status reports, including risks and issues
- Perform analyses, identify root causes, and develop and recommend key work products
- Negotiate agreements and program tradeoffs with IT and the business
- Settle disputes equitably and diffuse situations
- Follow EPMO processes, procedures, controls, standards, tools, and templates
- Adhere to required governance rigor
- Drive adoption and sustainment of organizational changes under USAA’s Change Management methodology
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 6 years of project and/or program management experience, including defining a new program and/or managing large-scale projects
- Proficient experience in Principles of Project, Program or Portfolio Management
- Proficient knowledge of program efforts management tools and methodologies
- Understanding and demonstrated application of risk management policies and procedures
- Knowledge of program management methodology and techniques
- Knowledge of program performance evaluation and change management principles
- Experience maintaining and reporting on work effort budgets/methodologies
- Proficient experience in USAA’s change management methodology or similar industry methodology
- Demonstrated experience assessing program risks and rewards across multiple technologies and business goals
- Ability to work out of the San Antonio Home Office
- Ability to work in the office 4 days per week
- 2+ years of P&C experience
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing high-level events and programs
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, shifting priorities and complex details
- PMP or similar certification
- Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship now or in the future
