About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the overall operations of ABB’s Critical Power manufacturing facility based in Quartino, Switzerland
- Own Profit & Loss and oversee Production, Engineering, Planning & Fulfillment, Quality & Operational Excellence, Logistics, Service and HR
- Execute a customer-focused operations strategy derived from business and functional strategies
- Deliver Operations 4C targets: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity
- Ensure on-time and on-margin project execution and deliver project EBIT and cash
- Own development and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures
- Drive overall customer satisfaction for the area under scope
- Drive service achievements through effective planning and resource allocation in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines
- Build an effective, capable and high-performing organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering or Business studies
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in operations/manufacturing
- Experience handling factory operations, production, production planning, SAP exposure, workforce management and vendor management
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach
- Negotiation skills
- Exceptional written and spoken communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the units
- Advanced Italian language skills preferred; ability to work effectively with Italian-speaking colleagues
- Ideally based in Switzerland, or willing to relocate; applications encouraged from cross-border commuters living in Italy and working in Switzerland
