About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify international growers in Canada, Australia, and Colombia, build relationships, and turn available volumes and capacities into concrete business opportunities.
  • Support and develop existing supplier relationships in collaboration with company leadership.
  • Build an additional supplier network of your own.
  • Negotiate prices and commercial contract terms, secure supply volumes, and align procurement decisions with the CFO.
  • Monitor availability and demand in the German market, open up new sourcing markets, and support product launches.
  • Document contacts, quotations, and agreements; follow up on commitments; and assess supplier performance and supply risks.
  • Classify supplier documentation, verify the plausibility of the information provided, and initiate any necessary qualification steps.
  • Report directly to company management; this role does not include personnel management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Several years of experience working with international business partners and handling complex negotiations.
  • Ability to build relationships independently and develop them over the long term.
  • Experience in international procurement, supply chain, sales, or business development—ideally in dietary supplements, plant-based raw materials, or pharmaceutical contract manufacturing.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for building an area of responsibility from the ground up while remaining hands-on operationally.
  • Degree or qualification in business administration, procurement, or a comparable field, along with an understanding of the requirements of regulated supply chains.
  • Fluent, business-level English, intercultural competence, and willingness to travel internationally.
  • Travel is expected to amount to approximately eight weeks per year.
  • Independent, structured working style and reliable collaboration within a small team, even when managing numerous contacts in parallel.

Benefits

Comp & perks
  • Your own international supplier network: Shape an area that is critical to the company’s continued growth.
  • Direct collaboration with company leadership: Short decision-making paths and close cooperation with the CFO, Sales, and Quality teams.
  • Koblenz and hybrid working: In-person collaboration during onboarding and regular shared office days during ongoing operations will be agreed based on the needs of the working relationship.
  • Base salary and performance-based compensation: The variable component is linked to procurement success.
