About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the daily operations and profitability of the retail establishment according to set goals and business objectives.
- Greet and assist customers while modeling exemplary conduct.
- Address customer complaints professionally and provide positive resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and security regulations and required standards.
- Maintain adequate stock through efficient inventory management.
- Conduct scheduled inventory counts and provide inventory reports.
- Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business within provided guidelines.
- Verify invoices against packing slips and track expenditures.
- Maintain neat merchandise presentation and correct pricing.
- Make purchasing decisions involving large quantities and volume-based discounts.
- Provide sales, staff, and productivity reports to management.
- Hold staff accountable for cash box deficits.
- Balance sales, print and record receipts, and track daily revenue.
- Make daily bank deposits and reconcile bank statements.
- Coordinate and execute ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories.
- Supervise all staff and coordinate work for productive operations at all hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have Smart Choices Cannabis Retail Certification.
- Must have a clean Criminal Background Check prior to start date.
- Minimum of 3-6+ years work experience in the retail industry.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in a supervisory role in a retail environment.
- A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Proven excellent customer service skills.
- Management experience preferred.
- Excellent time management and prioritizing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to train and motivate staff.
- Skills to monitor and assess staff performance.
- Ability to work any shift based on business needs, Monday to Sunday.
- Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends and different locations.
- Basic office administration skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Highly effective teamwork skills.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Politically and culturally sensitive.
- Able to plan and organize work effectively and ensure its completion.
- Well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
