About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee day-to-day store operations
- Complete biweekly bank deposits
- Manage inventory, order and receive parts, and verify accuracy
- Operate within established budget guidelines
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Build long-term relationships with customers and fleet partners
- Manage staffing, schedules, and service quality
- Review completed work and service quality
- Coach, mentor, train, and develop team members
- Provide feedback through performance evaluations and ongoing development
- Direct team members according to company policies and procedures
- Learn all store and shop functions and provide coverage as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by senior leadership
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of retail or store management experience, with increasing responsibility and a record of building strong teams
- Experience with Class 6–8 semi-truck preventive maintenance is preferred
- Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience as a lube technician is required
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Comfortable working approximately 50% office-based and 50% shop-based, as needed
