About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage a team of Warehouse Colleagues and Warehouse Administrators
- Drive team engagement, development and performance while creating a positive and productive working environment
- Collaborate with fellow Team Managers to deploy labour and equipment resources effectively
- Ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and inbound and outbound activities run smoothly
- Monitor operational performance against KPIs, including productivity, quality and service targets
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, procedures and ways of working
- Support implementation of best-practice initiatives across the operation
- Promote a strong health and safety culture
- Ensure colleagues work safely, follow site procedures and operate in line with GXO standards and values
- Report to the Shift Manager and contribute to the site management team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role within a fast-paced logistics, distribution or fulfilment environment
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams to achieve operational targets
- Experience managing productivity, performance and customer service KPIs within an operational setting
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Ability to work any 5 from 7 days
- Availability for AM (06:00–14:00) or PM (14:00–22:00) shifts
