About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate components of utility CIS software implementation projects
- Maintain and update project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Identify and report issues, risks, or delays to the PMO Manager and stakeholders
- Provide project progress updates to the PMO Manager and project teams
- Maintain project management documentation and processes
- Follow Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Support continuous improvement and administrative efficiency initiatives
- Communicate with R&D, Sales, and Delivery teams
- Monitor project budgets and track expenses against financial goals
- Track and report project status, timelines, and financials
- Collaborate with finance teams to verify financial data against forecasts
- Track KPIs including delivery timelines and budget variance
- Analyze project execution data to improve team efficiency
- Prepare project status updates and gather data for issue escalation
- Participate in client-facing discussions
- Document meeting minutes and action items to support customer satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1-3 years of experience in project management or a related role, preferably within software implementations or technical environments
- Experience managing project budgets ranging from $10k to over $2.5M
- Familiarity with Jira, Spira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Clarizen
- Basic understanding of Waterfall project management
- Exposure to Agile methodologies is a plus
- Experience tracking project financials or budgets is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage tasks with guidance
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment with cross-functional groups such as Sales, R&D, and Delivery
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on organization and process
- Position may require travel as high as 75% in North America without restriction
- Frequent communication through Teams, phone calls, and email
- Current, valid passport
- Legally eligible to travel internationally, including required visa eligibility for Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean
- Willingness to use AI-enabled technologies, including copilots, chat-based AI assistants, and automation tools, while maintaining security and compliance standards
