About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize community access to the company's products and therapies
- Assess access barriers and propose solutions for provider offices and institutions
- Serve as an in-house expert on authorization processes and requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to navigate complex access challenges
- Ensure access and reimbursement activities comply with healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Collaborate with healthcare provider offices, pharmacies, and other stakeholders to address access issues and streamline patient access pathways
- Negotiate contracts when needed
- Evaluate, select, onboard, and manage institutional pharmacies
- Use data analysis and reporting tools to assess access and reimbursement processes and implement improvements
- Manage and optimize community support programs, including financial assistance initiatives
- Monitor healthcare policy, market dynamics, and healthcare trends and adapt strategies accordingly
- Provide face-to-face education on access and affordability programs and community support services to providers and staff
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Healthcare Administration, Business, etc.); Master’s degree or equivalent is a plus
- Minimum of 5-8 years of Biotech/Pharma experience, including previous experience as an FRM
- Rare disease experience is preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in market access, community access or community services
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools
- Commitment to community-centered care and ensuring access to innovative treatments
