About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Evaluate revenue accounting implications of new products, pricing and packaging changes, partner/channel arrangements, strategic transactions, and go-to-market initiatives
- Prepare technical accounting memos, position papers, and related documentation
- Advise Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, FP&A, Pricing and Packaging, Product, and GTM leadership on revenue recognition implications
- Engage early in business initiatives to embed revenue accounting considerations in decision-making
- Serve as the subject matter expert on ASC 606 for Software/SaaS arrangements, including variable consideration, contract modifications, and material right assessments
- Review contract write-ups for compliance with ASC 606
- Support accounting systems and process improvement initiatives related to scalability, company growth, automation, and AI-enabled workflows
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CA/CPA preferred
- Big 4 background
- At least 7+ years of experience in a similar role at a public, high-growth SaaS or technology company
- Deep expertise in ASC 606 and technical revenue accounting
- Experience with complex contract structures, variable consideration, and policy interpretation
- Ability to influence stakeholders and simplify complex issues
- Ability to make sound decisions in fast-moving environments
- Ability to translate technical and operational issues into clear recommendations
- Self-motivated, flexible, and deadline-oriented
- Ability to independently drive projects to completion
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
