Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and mentor a team of Oracle DBAs
- Provide technical guidance and escalation support
- Design, maintain, and optimize Oracle databases in cloud and hybrid environments, including Azure
- Lead database migrations, upgrades, performance tuning, and modernization initiatives
- Oversee database monitoring, backup/recovery, patching, security, and disaster recovery activities
- Ensure database availability, scalability, and compliance with federal security standards
- Develop and maintain database administration procedures, automation, and operational best practices
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Leverage scripting, AI, and automation to improve database efficiency and operational performance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience
- 3+ years in a senior or technical lead role
- Extensive experience managing large-scale Oracle databases in cloud or hybrid environments
- Strong expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and performance tuning
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or comparable monitoring tools
- Proficiency in Shell, Python, or Ansible scripting and automation
- Experience with Momentum and federal financial management systems
- Knowledge of federal database security, compliance, and audit requirements
- Strong technical leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills
