About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze and scope pricing requests for project cargo, including OOG cargo (FR, OT, RoRo, BBK, and air), multimodal operations, and cargo transported in ISO/Flex Tanks
- Ensure coverage of all logistics stages, technical and commercial feasibility, adherence to deadlines and margins, and compliance with quality standards
- Maintain relationships with customers and suppliers, aligning proposals with customer needs and DSV’s commercial policies
- Interpret technical drawings for lifting, transportation, and cargo lashing
- Assess the technical, operational, and commercial feasibility of projects and prepare proposals
- Evaluate suppliers based on technical capabilities, operational structure, geographic coverage, market track record, and asset availability
- Conduct technical site visits and supplier qualification processes
- Lead technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Provide technical and commercial support to branches and operational teams during the implementation and execution of shipments
- Assist in resolving technical and commercial issues
- Manage requests for quotations for road transportation and terminal services in import, export, cabotage, air, and ocean operations
- Ensure proposals are competitive, technically feasible, and profitable; suppliers are qualified; and commercial alignment is maintained with customers and partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Foreign Trade, International Relations, or a related field
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, with at least 3 years in the role
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Pier-to-pier operations
- CargoWise
- Knowledge of international transportation procedures (air, ocean, and/or road) is preferred
- Knowledge of related areas such as administration, domestic transportation, sales, finance, tax, and customs clearance is preferred
- Knowledge of negotiating and operating project cargo, including Rigging Plans, Stowage Plans, loading sequences, laytime calculations, shipping terms, and BreakBulk shipments is preferred
- Knowledge of lashing and lifting FR, RoRo, and OT cargo
- Strong knowledge of geography and supplier relationships by region is preferred
