About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently manage the monthly payroll process for a defined group of employees
- Maintain and administer employee master data and payroll-relevant information
- Serve as the point of contact for employees, managers, and external parties on all payroll-related matters
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and social security requirements
- Prepare analyses, reports, and statistics for HR and management
- Support year-end payroll activities, such as wage tax certificates, social security notifications, and annual filings
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving and digitizing payroll processes
- Work closely with HR Administration, Finance, and external service providers
Requirements
What you’ll need- EU citizenship and/or a valid work permit is required
- Relocation assistance is not offered
- Completed commercial or business administration training, ideally with additional qualifications in HR or payroll
- Several years of professional payroll experience, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment or three-shift operation, ideally in a senior or comparable role
- Very good knowledge of tax, social security, and employment law
- Experience with common payroll systems, such as SAP HCM, DATEV, LOGA, UKG, or comparable systems
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and discretion
- Independent, reliable, and structured approach to work
- Strong service orientation and enjoyment of teamwork
- Good command of English
