Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as Product Line leader for new military fixed wing offerings, including Collaborative Combat Aircraft propulsion
- Oversee and drive product strategy
- Provide direction for pursuit capture by leading sales and supporting functions
- Develop new product roadmaps
- Maintain overall profit-and-loss oversight for new programs
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize and grow the Military Fixed Wing Engines portfolio
- Lead decisions on product technology roadmap, new product introduction, breakthrough innovation, voice of the customer, and product portfolio
- Participate in manufacturing, sourcing, and engineering planning decisions through the SIOP process
- Lead and execute innovation and offering development processes aligned with customer needs, market trends, technology development, and strategic plans
- Drive revenue growth, margin expansion, cost control, time-to-market commitments, AOP, and STRAP objectives
- Directly support the VP/GM in developing the STRAP and AOP
- Expand the NPI and BTI program pipeline from ideation through launch readiness
- Report progress at monthly NPI and BTI MORs
- Develop and mature targeted offerings and business cases using Z21 methodologies
- Convert voice of customer and differentiated technologies into market-back requirements and system solutions
- Lead or support strategic Risk Share and Investment Partnership initiatives
- Develop non-traditional partners and supply-chain solutions with sourcing and advanced manufacturing
- Coordinate product roadmaps with Advanced Technology, Engineering, and Integrated Supply Chain
- Evaluate market trends, competitor moves, acquisitions, product launches, financial performance, and major wins
- Provide input on M&A and Venture Capital strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- U.S. Person status required: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
- 10+ years of business management and leadership experience
- 2+ years of P&L accountability experience
- Knowledge of key financial documents, including Income Statement and Balance Sheet
- Experience developing long-range strategic business plans
- Experience establishing annual operating plans
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent
- Aerospace industry and Gas Turbine product knowledge and experience
- Ability to qualify for and secure a US DOD Security Clearance
- Proven product or program management experience
- Significant experience leading NPI initiatives and teams
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Experience with U.S. Air Force and other Military Fixed Wing customers
- Knowledge of the aerospace industry and/or engines and power systems business
- Knowledge of requirements management and fulfillment
- Planning and estimation experience, including resource, material, and capital needs
- Cross-functional leadership, collaboration, communication, and influence
- Proven record of driving innovation, strategic growth, and business objectives through NPI initiatives
- Ability to make sound and timely judgments in an ambiguous environment
- Effective communication, interactive, and presentation skills
- Experience influencing, negotiating, and partnering in a matrix organization
- Ability to integrate complex concepts and information with program management systems and processes
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at executive and C-levels
- Experience establishing procedures, best practices, and associated compliance
- PMP Certification
