About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct community outreach and engage community members to understand their health needs
- Provide individual and group health education and coaching
- Assist community members in accessing and navigating the healthcare system, including referrals to appropriate health services
- Provide basic health screenings and assessments to identify health risks and appropriate interventions
- Assist in developing health promotion programs and activities
- Collect data and maintain accurate records of outreach activities and interventions
- Attend meetings and trainings related to community health promotion and education
- Work under the direction of a healthcare professional to provide preventive care and health education
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field of study preferred
- Experience in community outreach, health education, or related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively and provide advocacy for all populations and communities preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, standard business hours
- Stable, secure, and compliant workstation in a quiet environment for remote workdays
- Teams video accessed using MGB-provided equipment
