Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a customer-facing endpoint security expert
- Take a consultative approach to security projects
- Apply a holistic understanding of how security technology enables business
- Develop and deliver new security services offerings addressing customer requests and opportunities
- Collaborate with CIOs, CSOs, CISOs, security engineers, procurement contacts, and other client stakeholders
- Understand SHI’s service offerings across all solution practice areas through training and self-study
- Educate sales teams on cybersecurity solution selling and key technologies through individual, team, and company training
- Stay current on technology, trends, and market behavior
- Conduct self-study and independent work in lab facilities
- Develop collateral for cybersecurity sales engagements
- Develop use cases in the SHI lab to support sales engagements
- Travel for customer meetings, internal meetings, engagements, customer or partner sites, conferences, and SHI offices
Requirements
What you’ll need- Reside in the Northeast region of the US as required for business needs and as determined by SHI management
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
- 5+ years experience in a technical cybersecurity role
- 3+ years experience in Security Pre-Sales Consulting
- Intermediate experience and understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, HITRUST, and CIS
- Intermediate technical endpoint security knowledge, including EDR, EPP, XDR, and other endpoint-related security controls
- Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs, articulating value propositions, and providing technical expertise
- Advanced certification in mainstream technologies preferred, such as CISSP, relevant GIAC certification, SSCP, CISM, CCSP, CEH, CPT, CWSP, CCNP Security, CCIE Security, or relevant professional cybersecurity OEM certifications
- Travel to client locations required up to 20%
- Extended hours required for some special projects
