About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Compile and maintain accounts payable records
- Generate and distribute checks written from the company's trust account
- Generate monthly account current statements or reports of bookings as required
- Reconcile and correct discrepancies between the company and insurance company's statements or account current
- Notify the servicing Producer of accounting irregularities
- Ensure insurance companies are paid accurately and timely
- Assist the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor in reconciling company payables to the general ledger
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Act as liaison between the company and insurance companies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two (2) or more years of related work experience in full-cycle Accounts Payable
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting terms
- Familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Ability to file and operate general office equipment
- Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
