About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist and manage brokers with renewals and new business opportunities, placing risks independently when required
- Prepare formal quotes and issue them without checking unless complex
- Prepare complex MRC documentation, identify required changes, and submit for checking before order
- Review and improve wordings proactively
- Review regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across multiple territories and countries
- Prepare supporting documentation, including spreadsheets for complex placements
- Ensure premiums and taxes are accurate
- Work with finance to ensure premiums are received and paid
- Load placements onto PPL
- Tailor solutions for clients and producers
- Manage an allocated account list
- Maintain files and systems according to Price Forbes guidelines
- Check quotes and pre-bind MRCs for other team members
- Identify potential placement and coverage issues before they become problems
- Mentor junior team members through regular meetings
- Communicate with producers, insureds, and underwriters where required
- Check and sign binders and certificates
- Manage operations for the product line alongside senior colleagues and work with the Executive Director
- Lead new projects and initiatives
- Help create a positive working environment and drive team initiatives
- Identify and address potential problems and set a professional tone for the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Substantial experience in Professional Liability/E&O, preferably in lawyers/architects/engineering classes
- Knowledge of the wider London, US and international E&O environment, developments and makeup
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, broking systems, and PPL
- Understanding of insurance regulatory environments for multiple countries
- Insurance expertise and knowledge in the relevant department
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple clients and projects
- Organisational and time management skills
- Ability and willingness for continuous learning and training
- Ability to mentor and develop others
- Proactive approach and dedication to excellent client customer service
- Expert product knowledge in the relevant department
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with complex placements and documentation
