Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and modernize the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle during hyper-growth and increased purchasing volume
- Develop and implement a robust, scalable, future-proof P2P process
- Drive cross-functional change with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and Accounting leadership
- Lead AP functional setup, workflow design, integration testing, and rollout of Precoro and NetSuite for the P2P process
- Establish automated data flow between purchasing, invoice approval, and payment processing
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI technology and intelligent automation for invoice capture, exception routing, fraud prevention, and predictive analytics
- Architect and optimize end-to-end P2P workflows, PO approval matrices, and vendor onboarding processes
- Directly manage, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team
- Conduct performance reviews and foster professional growth across the department
- Perform secondary reviews and final authorizations for ACH, wire, and check payment runs
- Evaluate high-value or complex payment exceptions and ensure proper GL alignment
- Establish and enforce SOX-compliant internal controls, travel and expense policies, and purchasing policies
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external payables audits
- Oversee month-end AP close, subledger-to-GL reconciliations, AP aging, unbilled PO accruals, and cash-flow forecasting inputs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive Accounts Payable / Accounting experience
- Minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial leadership role
- Direct experience with SOX compliance and building/enforcing internal controls for public company readiness required
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or other tier-one ERP
- Key-user or implementation experience with NetSuite and P2P platforms like Precoro or similar P2P tools strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience utilizing AI technology, machine learning tools, or advanced automation to streamline AP workflows and drive continuous process improvements
- Experience operating in high-growth technology, hardware, robotics, manufacturing, or supply-chain environments preferred
- Proven ability to thrive in an unstructured environment while bringing structure, standards, automation, and compliance
- Strong cross-functional negotiation, project management, and high-level team management skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets
- Current authorization to work in the United States
