About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and own relationships with police authorities at federal and state level, including Bundespolizei, BKA, LKAs, Landespolizeien and Interior Ministries
- Engage decision-makers in police leadership, investigation units, IT, digitalization and procurement
- Translate investigators’ challenges into concrete AI-enabled use cases for Celonis and Metropolis
- Demonstrate measurable impact such as time saved per case and faster case processing
- Share police insights with product, marketing and value engineering teams
- Own an individual revenue target and drive complex, long sales cycles through close
- Navigate public procurement and tender processes with partners and internal experts
- Work with consulting firms, system integrators and public IT service providers
- Represent Celonis at public sector events, conferences and police-specific forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience within the German police, at federal or state level
- Ideally experience in a leadership role and/or investigations, criminal analysis, IT, digitalization or organizational development
- Solid network within the police landscape and deep understanding of police authorities and Interior Ministries
- Understanding of police data challenges, including case management, evidence and data analysis, and cross-agency information sharing
- Strong interest in a commercial, customer-facing role
- Prior sales, business development or consulting experience is a plus, not a must
- Strong affinity for technology, data and AI
- Ability to explain complex topics simply and convincingly
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and engage at leadership level
- Familiarity with public procurement processes is a strong plus
- Grit, hands-on mindset and drive to build something new
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in German (native or fluent)
- Very good English
- Willingness and eligibility to undergo security clearance if required by customers
- Ability to adapt to a fast-moving, high-growth environment
- Collaborative, inclusive and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to leverage internal resources and work as a team
